Embrace The Waves

There are days when we feel gloomy. Sometimes it is due to the bad things we happen to encounter, the people who have impacted on us, or it is just a bad weather. Or something not reasonable at all.

Negativity is like mold/mould which requires our constant cleanup. If we stop cleaning for a day or two, we do not see much of the difference. But then it grows out of our sight until we by chance look at it again and we are surprised how much it has grown. Removing negativity in life is nothing like an easy wipe of the affected area. The longer it stays, the even more time we struggle to let go of it.

For people who have a traumatic past, or long-lasting pain and wounds, negativity is a never clear cut clinging weight they are bound to bear. When facing the unexpected comebacks again and again, despite we have resolved with the past or not, we return back to the original questioning position - ‘why me?’

“Bad things are like waves. They're going to happen to you, and there's nothing you can do about it. They're part of life, like waves are a part of the ocean. If you're standing on the shoreline, you don't know when the waves are coming. But they'll come. You gotta make sure you get back to the surface, after every wave. That's all.”      - Lisa Scottoline

I continue to look for the different things to let myself turn towards empowerment and positivity.
When we cannot prevent bad things from happening in our lives, make sure we stand up again after every fall.
